The Brave Center

The Brave Center works to remove suicide as an option in the Brazos Valley by providing education and training for the community and resources and care for those who are struggling.

Mission

The Brave Center works to remove suicide as an option by equipping the community through education, classes, and trainings on how to care for a loved one struggling with suicide ideation. For those who are in need of help, resources and support groups are available to ensure that the proper level-of-care is accessible . Our goal is a Brazos Valley where help is always within reach and no one ever has to struggle alone. The Brave Center serves the whole community. Whether someone is in the middle of a crisis, supporting a loved one who is hurting, or simply wanting to be better equipped to help, we have something for everyone.

The Goal

Currently, The Brave Center offers trainings and education with low-cost DBT groups available in the fall of 2026. We are hoping to expand to a building that has a walk-in service staffed by trained professionals and volunteers. This center will serve as a safe place for anyone who is struggling, regardless of whether they consider themselves "in crisis." Walk-in visitors will have access to peer support, crisis intervention, resource navigation, and connection to ongoing care.
