My Approach
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and graduated with a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) for trauma, ASIST certified, and work with individuals through the following: anxiety, OCD, depression, suicidal thoughts, unwanted sexual behaviors, abuse, trauma, grief, eating disorders and more. I have also taught on various topics for churches, ministries, nonprofits and conference workshops and frequently lead trainings on how to care well for those struggling with suicidal thoughts. My dream is to open a center where people in crisis can come and talk to someone for free and have a safe space to help determine what is next. For now, I enjoy time with my husband, baby girl, and our two dogs!

It is the greatest honor of my life to be entrusted to steward such a valuable thing as the human heart, soul and mind. I believe that no one is too far and everyone can be restored and healed through the work of Christ. I care about helping people live their lives the way God intended for them and integrate faith into my practice where it is compatible and so desired. While I believe that God is sovereign over counseling, our sessions are not a bible study. I utilize an integrative approach that is client-centered and evidence-based. I pull from a handful of counseling modalities such as ACT, ERP, CBT, EMDR, and DBT. I rely heavily on client feedback and value your thoughts and hopes for the counseling process. I promise to be dedicated to you and your healing, and only ask for your honesty and willingness to try and show up!
